My name is Brian Kelly and I have had the pleasure of serving as the SYSO Head Football Coach since 2016. I’m proud to say that we have been successful in creating an environment that fosters transformational change and support for the boys participating in our program. We have been fortunate enough to win 2 championships at the prestigious West Point Michie Stadium in 2017 & 2018. Beyond success on the field, our boys have won in many other ways. They have had the opportunity to fight through adversity, be a part of something bigger than themselves, and truly embrace the commitment to a team and common set of goals and objectives. At the end of the day, I’m trying to instill a culture of inclusion and support that will hopefully prepare the boys for their high school academic and athletic experience. I’m entering my final season as the Head Coach for the 13U team and would like to serve out 1 final year on the SYSO Football Board. I plan to continue to provide oversight for our Somers community with the Taconic BoD for which I’ve served the past 4 years alongside Matt Gallino our commissioner.
